"AFRICAN NEXT TOP MODEL" THE SPOTLIGHT IS NOW IN AFRICA

I recently saw an Ad about the American Next Top Model TV series that will be headed to Africa (AFRICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL), so i Looked at one of my previous vector art, and decided to make a few modification to it to portray how the spotlight is now on Africa.

If you ask me, the pretty woman in my art is OLUCHI Onweagba. LOL. Don't get it twisted, its just my own opinion. She could look like another African woman you know. hehe. 

Through the Thick woods Africa still shines through.

MY NEW DESIGN (AFRICAN CHILD)

The picture is about the african child and their struggles in life. The economy, standard of living is hard, so it takes a lot to survive this hard times. If you look at his face, I made some make up design, warriors wear when they go for battle. This make up depicts preparation and efforts our parent or loved ones makes to ensure we succeed. The Red Color depicts blood and violence the african child face. So in conclusion "Growing up to be a man and successful in africa is a war every child must fight to survive or succeed"

This is the Original pic below, took the picture with a DSLR Camera "Canon D600 T3i. So you see how my art work transitioned into what it is now. hehe.

BEAUTY YET UNTAINTED BY FRIVOLITY

I made an initial drawing on paper, but didnt follow the initial concept, because it was too complex and there were too many complex details that would only make the image meaningless. I wasn't sure what the background would be like at first, but after a while, i was able to make it potray my idea about a Beautiful Dream.

My soul is at peace in Africa
For her streams bring lifeblood to my veins
And her winds bring healing to my dreams
For when the tale of this land is told
Her destiny and mine are as one
